Essay 2-03a: Chikako's University Life

“Do you like your university life?” If I asked the question, I will answer “”yes”. I think I spend good university life. I’m a sophomore student at KGU and I am major in English. I like English and my home isn’t so remote from the university. So I decide to enter this university. I liked the university soon because my university life is so good. Now, I will tell you about my university life.

First, I will talk about studying English. I like English so I’m happy to study English. There are a lot of good teachers. They are sometimes a little strict about English so they give us a lot of assignments, for example, group learning, keeping my blog, recording, presentation and English central which is a teaching material… It is very hard for me to do. But I think if I have to do that, I will improve my English skills. In fact, I practiced English more and learn to real English from English central.

Second, I will talk about good environments. The facility of KGU is so great. When I first visited the KGU , I was very surprised at that. I think the KGU’s facility is the best of Kumamoto’s university’s. I especially like the library, the KGU’s library is very big and there are not only books to study but also interesting magazines. And there are a lot of newspapers in various languages. So we can know what happened in the world easily. And we can listen to music and watch movies there. When I have free time, I will go there. And we also can use computers so I often do assignments in the library. Because library is quiet so I can concentrate well.

Third, I will talk about my good friends. My favorite thing is talking with people. I made a lot of friends at the KGU. They are so great and funny. I often go shopping and eat meals with them. We talk a lot every day, for example, English, favorite things and love. I think we trust each other. So I’m sure to meet them is my treasure.

Finally, I will talk about my club. I belong to a volunteer club. I wasn’t interested in volunteer before. So I want to change my mind so I enter that club. My club’s name is the Asunarou. Although it has a lot of members, we are so close. We are involved in volunteer work every Saturday. We meet a lot of people and help them or do something for them. Now, I think it’s a good thing to do volunteer and I enjoy volunteer. Volunteer is very fruitful thing for me. And to do volunteer gives me happy.

As you can see, I think my university life is very nice. I can study English at the good environments and meet good people. They are good things for me and I’m happy now. So I want to study a lot of things more and improve myself during a university student. I’m sure I can do it in this environment!
